Printing More Than Letters and Forms
Most users are pleased with their laser printers. The crisp image,
the no-smear finish, and the low cost per page beats other options.
You have great looking correspondence, no hassles with the business
forms of yesterday... but why stop there?
Most laser printers will print on just about anything that looks like
paper. We use our for checks, envelopes, cards, shipping labels, report
covers, fax receiving, signs and flyers.
One favorite trick is to stock up on colored papers and card stocks.
Just load a little into the manual tray for instant impact.
Still. Even here at the home of the printer experts, we see
handwritten envelopes in the outbound mail everyday. We have tried
dozens of software packages, including word processing, label makers,
and mailing list databases. It's not that we don't know how to print an
envelope, it just seems like a lot of effort to set up for a single
print.
That's why we love products like Star Envelope Printer. This
shareware program doesn't do much, and that's the point. It's sole
purpose is to give you a quick way to type up one address, or choose
from a few that you use again and again. In our office, it's cut down on
the ugly handwriting on envelopes. Give Star Envelope Printer a try:

We're always looking for a ways to improve efficiency, cut costs, and
put out a professional image. If you have a favorite trick, send it to
us. We promise to share it with other LaserPage readers and offer you
full credit. Enjoy your piece of fame by sending a note to:

Is it Time for Color?
We long advised anyone looking to get noticed to use color when they
print. Even if your printer is a 1980's Laserjet, you increase
readership easily by simply printing your message on colored paper.
And then there's inkjets. For the past few years, these have outsold
laser printers and now always come with color. Printer manufacturers
love ink.. they know that you'll spend several times the cost of the
printer in one year's supply of ink.
Clearly, the best bet is own a color laser printer. You get the
dependability and low cost per page of laser, and the dazzle of full
color when you need it. A great treat to own, but a little tough($) to
acquire.
The cost of color laser printers has come down. You can now cost
justify a HP Color Laserjet with as little as 5000 pages per month.
Total cost of ownership (TCO) is much less than printing the same pages
on an inkjet printer. TCO includes service, paper, supplies, toner,
buying the printer and financing.
The only complaint we hear is the up front costs. Now we can help
there too.
Landmark now has available some of the latest HP Color Laserjet
printers, direct out of Hewlett Packard, in new HP boxes with HP
packaging, accessories and the full year HP warranty for hundreds of
dollars off the "street price".
We've sold dozens of these HP printers, saved our clients thousands
of dollars, and have yet to see one that didn't look exactly like the
regular new printers from HP. They are that good.
The only "catch" is that these are labeled "HP
refurbished". They look like new, are warranted like new, but sell
for much less.

The Internet is Your Printer Cable
One thing we've learned after installing thousands of printers... The
printer on your desk will never print everything you need.
Network printers make it easy to share printers.. but we're never
satisfied. Wouldn't it be nice to use the office printer at home? Or
have a crisp clean original printed right at a remote office?
HP offers an easy way to cut down on overnight and fax charges,
getting better looking prints delivered instantly. Best of all is the
price. It's FREE! You can download HP Internet Printer Connection
Software by following this link:
http://www.landmarkprinters.com/free_hp_jetdirect_software.htm
To use HP Internet Printer Connection Software you need to have
Windows 2000 or NT 4.0, and the printer has to be IPP (InterNet Printing
Protocol) compatible. Most current model LaserJet printers with a
JetDirect 600 series EIO card will work, along with older printer with a
Jetdirect 400 MIO card. Or print to ANY printer that has a Jetdirect 300
or 500 external print server.
A wireless connection and a charged battery makes it easy to work
next to the pool. When you get the job done, you can print it anywhere
with HP Internet Printer Connection Software. Work at home... or
anywhere you feel like going!
The software is easy to install. If you have questions about your
configuration, or need a Jetdirect connection, call the experts at
